Do you have questions about the best type of microphone for recording lectures? Wonder how your colleagues are managing to cope with handwritten formula while lecturing online? Or have you found a great way to improve online student tutorials?
ANU academic and professional staff with an interest in all things AV are encouraged to join the AV Innovators Network and start a conversation! The AV Innovators Network communicates through a Microsoft Teams Channel and is supported by CLT.
The AV Innovators focusses on all things audio/visual and was developed out a desire to help others and share innovations happening around the ANU campus. With the recent move to online modes of learning and dual delivery, there has been an increased interest in how to teach successfully online. At the same time, staff have been unable to catch up in the hallway or over coffee to share advice or answer questions. The AV Innovators CoP helps to fill that void.
Members are spread across the university and represent academics, support staff we well as IT and AV staff. For more information you can view the AV Innovators Charter or email Melita at clt@anu.edu.au.
In the past month, members have run a session on Zoom teaching + AV tips for academics, provided input on users of the Virtual Information Commons, shared Tech guides for students submitting videos and discussed how to create flipped classrooms at ANU.
This webinar on “Office based Audio Visual tips for academics” is presented below is an example of the type of peer-to-peer content that the AV Innovators Network is all about – and grew from the interest and experience that Dr James Nichols (CoS) and Dr Nicolo Malagutti (CECS) have in the AV space – join the conversation now!
