Steps to review and submit your SFHEA application

1. Do a final check

Make sure:

  • that you are using the correct application form (made available to you via MS Teams after enrolment in the REx group)
  • that you have completed all the sections of the form
  • that your texts are under the maximum allowed word count, and
  • that you have evidenced all 15 Dimensions of PSF 2023 throughout your Reflective Narrative and Reflective Case Studies

2. Merge documents

Merge your completed application form with your two supporting statements, and convert this into one PDF document.

Name the document as follows:  EFS_SFHEAapplication_YourName_DDMMMYY.pdf  (e.g. EFS_SFHEAapplication_ZeldaLee_13SEP25.pdf)

3. Submit via the webform

You can find the link to the webform in the MS Teams for your REx group, or by emailing clt@anu.edu.au

Note: As part of our ongoing quality assurance process, we may check applications and references for individual authenticity (for example, using anti-plagiarism software, or by contacting referees to confirm that the Supporting Statement submitted by the applicant is the same statement that they have prepared and completed).

About the review process

The EFS Team at the ANU Centre for Learning and Teaching coordinate the review and accreditation process, but do not make a judgement on awarding Advance HE fellowships.

Reviewers

Your SFHEA application will be reviewed by three reviewers, two drawn from across ANU and one external to ANU. The external reviewer will be the lead reviewer. The EFS team ensures that the ANU reviewers are drawn from a different School or Business Unit to yours.

Timeframe

You can submit your application at any time in your EFS REx group (on the condition that you have had EFS mentor feedback at least once on each component), but it will only be sent onto the reviewers after the closing date for applications. There are two closing dates per year. The exact dates are communicated at the start of the REx group you are enrolled in.

Once you have submitted your written application, you will be invited to participate in a Professional Conversation (PC). This usually takes place between four to seven weeks after the closing date for applications.

Please allow up to six working weeks after the PC for your application to be processed. You will receive the application outcome and written feedback via email.
