Synopsis

Dr Wei Zeng is a lecturer at the Research School of Accounting (RSA), College of Business and Economics (CBE). His teaching is driven by a commitment to helping students understand the nature of accounting practices that shape and manage organisations, while building strong foundations for applying these skills in future workplaces.

To achieve this, Wei integrates brain-based learning strategies into course design, using real-world examples to spark engagement and deepen understanding. His approach combines carefully structured teaching components to provide a well-rounded learning experience, while also recognising the role of emotions in enhancing learning ability.

Wei’s dedication to innovative and effective teaching has been consistently recognised—most notably through the 2021 CBE Award for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning and the 2022 CBE Teaching Commendation for Outstanding Teaching.
