Synopsis

Since 2019, Leo Huang has tutored actuarial and statistics courses at undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate levels. Drawing on his industry experience and ongoing PhD research, he adopts innovation-driven and reflective teaching approaches to enrich students’ learning experiences.

Combining a deep knowledge of course content with a passion for tutoring, Leo leverages cutting-edge technology to communicate complex actuarial concepts while maintaining a strong human connection with his students. His dedication to high-quality teaching has been recognised through the 2023 CBE Award for Excellence in Tutoring, as well as being named the highly commended candidate for the 2023 Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Tutoring.
