New opportunities for you to develop multimedia and video resources

The Education Design Studio (EDS) and Centre for Learning & Teaching (CLT) are collaborating to provide ANU educators and staff more multimedia and studio facilities. This new CASS + CLT MULTIMEDIA SPACE is located in Baldessin Precinct Building and offers two spaces:

CASS self-recording studio

CLT education studio

CASS self-recording studio

This acoustically treated studio is for individuals to use to record high quality audio and video and comes equipped with a Green Screen, virtual backdrop/slides, a teleprompter and screen capture options. This is a great space for individual self-recording or when you need an acoustically treated room for audio recording. While this is a SELF RECORDING studio, anyone who comes into the space for the first time will receive an in depth orientation and explanation with their first (and second) bookings.

CLT education studio

This larger space provides space for ANU educators and staff to record video and audio content and includes teleprompter, LCD screens, podcasting equipment, a small light-board and larger green screen backdrops. This space is suitable for recordings where more than one person appear on camera or when slides/LCD content are needed. Use of this space is managed on a case-by-case basis by CLT AV staff and is aimed at supporting education content creation.

Both of these studios are located in the Baldessin Precinct Building – ROOM W.109. This is on the ground floor via the street level access on Ellery Crescent. Staff from EDS will manage all CASS bookings and CLT AV staff will manage all other ANU bookings. More information on each space and examples of content that has been created with these studios can be found below:

Launch of CASS + CLT multimedia space

This new multimedia space had a “soft launch” at the last ANU AV Innovators Meet Up which saw professional staff and educators from all around campus visit the space before it’s official opening. Participants were talked through the origins and aims of this CASS/CLT collaboration and then given a tour of both spaces and workshop around using the CASS Self-Recording Studio.

A huge thanks to Grazia Scotellario and the EDS team for all the hard work that’s gone into this collaboration.
